The inspiration for this 3D oil drum which was modelled using Blender 2.5 and textured using photoshop came from an old rusty oil barrel that I had at my dads home back in Kenya.It was used for trapping rain water. The barrel is pretty simple and most of the work involved was in the creating of the tetxtures. The scene setting is in a dessert scene at night with the barrels lit by a flood light. The sand unevenness is created using geometry influence on a texture. This is another low poly 3D model you can use in your net 3D game development project.
